YEY! IT’S BOOKED!
Thank you
Thank you for choosing me to capture these all important moments for you and your family.
It really means so much and I can’t wait to meet you.
What to wear?
Neutral, natural, earthy tones will create the most timeless images and these colours are best suited to my style of editing.
Keep it simple. No bold patterns, writing or logos. We want the focus to be entirely on you and your family. Coordinating tones look great together rather than everyone matching.
Client Wardrobe
I have a small selection of dresses for mum and clothes for babies / children which I’m happy to bring along for you to try. Choose one (or all!) of the dresses below and I’ll bring them to your home on the day of your photo shoot.

Comfort is Key
Above all else, I want you to feel comfortable and confident on the day of your shoot. You should look back at your photos and feel like they are an authentic representation of you and your family. That might be dresses and full make up or jeans and au natural! So while these colours look great and edit well, these are your memories for life and so I encourage you to wear what makes you happy!
What if my house is a mess?
Please don’t worry about mess or clutter. If you have small children and a tidy home you’re definitely in the minority! (and please let me know how you do it!)
On the day of your shoot I’ll have a quick look around to find the rooms with the best light. I can easily move anything in the background that might be distracting.
In most cases we end up getting some really beautiful shots on the bed / in the bedroom so for that reason I recommend plain white bedsheets on the bed if possible. If white isn’t an option then a plain colour will photograph better than bold or bright patterns.
Our aim is to capture you and your family relaxed and happy at home.
Newborn
If I’m coming to photograph you with your new baby, first of all, thank you for inviting me in to your newborn bubble to capture such a precious time. They really do change so quickly and they’ll never be as tiny as they are today.
If you’d like your baby to be sleeping in photos then it’s best for them to have a full tummy and avoid any big naps before our shoot time. Ideally feed baby in just a nappy (and a warm blanket) this will mean we don’t need to try to remove clothes while baby is sleeping so more chance of baby staying asleep for photos.
Ultimately baby will dictate how the shoot goes and if there’s one thing my children have taught me - there’s no way to force a baby to sleep! Some babies just don’t want to miss a moment of their photoshoot and that’s absolutely fine too. Wide awake baby photos are some of my favourite photos ever taken of my own children.
All your babies beautiful little features; fingers, toes, hair, nose etc will also be captured in detail and I always recommend parents are included in a few shots. Even if you’re not a fan of having your photo taken, I promise you will look back at theses photos of you holding your tiny newborn and see nothing but love. Your children will be grateful for these one day too.
If there’s anything I’ve not covered on the day that you would especially like photographed, don’t hesitate to tell me!
